Yantras and Meditation paintings inspired by India

During an artist residency in New Delhi, I made delicate paintings on silk inspired by the mystical geometric symbols associated with the Wisdom Goddesses or Mahavidyas of the Tantric and Hindu traditions. Believed to have powerful healing, spiritual and transformative qualities, yantras have been used for centuries as tools for meditation and worship. Each yantra represents a dimension of consciousness and can be seen as a powerful invocation to the Divine Mother.
